As the home page says, I am Moore Macauley, and I am a four year Computer Science: Computer Game Design student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I've always had a passion for video games and comp sci, so it really comes as no surprise that the thing I enjoy programming above all else is video games. Because of that, I thought the best move for me would be to study the making of games. Now, the last and greatest step is to actually put that knowlage to use and get a job.
Outside of game design, I've done a couple of more pure computer science internships. For one, I built multi-agent AI models for AINVESTgroup, and for another, I helped to build the back end of True Harmony AI, both of which taught me a lot about creating more standard software. While I love making games the most, I find programming just about anything fun, so I had a good time working in both places as well.
On a slightly less professional note, I grew up in Silicon Valley, and it turned me into as massive a nerd as that would imply (though you knew that already, I'm trying to make games for a living). Sunless Sea and Sunless Skies both hold special places in my heart, alongside Rimworld, Darkest Dungeon, and Elite: Dangerous. Paradox Interactive also deserves a mention for somehow making off with more time across more games than any other developer. When I'm not playing video games, I enjoy a good tabletop RPG or a good book, depending on how many friends I can band together. I have a love/hate relationship with Shadowrun, and The Expanse would probably find it's way to the top of my list of favorite book series.
